Who I am

I am a first time mom, wife, marketer, and curator of ideas and thoughts. I was attracted to entering the blogging world by my passion to be creative.

Why Blog?

During my maternity leave, I found two new passions – discussing topics online and baking. While exploring different baking creations online, I came across quite a few blogs and loved how the authors were able to share so many unique ideas. I get REALLY excited about new ideas and want to share them with people. That’s where the idea for Life is a Lullaby came. It really is an outlet for me to share inspirations, help others learn new things like I discovered when I first started baking, and to discuss topics relevant today.

Why “Life is a Lullaby?”

During the first few months of my son’s life, I quickly learned the power of lullabies. I am pretty lucky to have a baby that’s easy-going and doesn’t cry very often. But, there is one place he always starts to cry – just before going down for a nap. So I would start to sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ and ‘Rock a Bye Baby’ just as I was getting him ready for the nap and it always soothed him. I quickly learned the power of these lullabies. Other favourite places for singing these lullabies quickly ensued including long car rides and quiet afternoons.

Our lives are always going to be filled with things we don’t want to do – like a baby not wanting to go down for his nap. But there will always be someone or something that can get us through it in order to start dreaming – like a lullaby can for a baby. Let Life is a Lullaby inspire you for your everyday dreams.

  1. Love your blog!

We started waltzing with our 4-month old and humming “The Blue Danube Waltz” whenever he got fussy, and now there is no turning back! Lol

We even noticed him trying to him it with us 🙂

    1. Thanks Shelly! Isn’t it amazing how much music can help with little babies? Even now Camden is almost 8 months and I can still get him to fall asleep with Twinkle Twinkle. Thanks for stopping by and so glad you like the blog!
